The History of the Saviers Family Hueneme Museum
August 4, 2018 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Eileen Tracy will address “The History of the Saviers Family” on August 4, 2018, 11:00AM-12:30PM, Hueneme Museum, 220 N. Market St., Port Hueneme, CA 93041 Phone (805) 488-0585 *No admission charge, although donations are appreciated*
After her sons were grown and gone, Tracy’s career brought her to Ventura County, where she would volunteer as a docent at Heritage Square, the Stagecoach Inn and the Dudley House. She also found researching at the Ventura County Historical Museum library “relaxing,” and eventually focused her brainpower into answering two questions: 1) “Why did the city of Oxnard develop in the middle of nowhere?” and 2) “What roles did the multi-talented JY Saviers and his entrepreneurial wife Martha play?”
